Magic introduces an evolution of the absorbing pad, which features a cellulose rather than a plastic layer in line with the sector demands when it comes to sustainability.
"Our PaperPad raised quite the interest at Fruit Logistica. The outer layer is made of cellulose paste instead of plastic and is suitable to come into contact with food," explains Andrea Benaglia (left in the photo below), sales manager for Magic, a company located in Oleggio (Novara).

"Thanks to its technology, paper pads guarantee a faster and more direct absorption compared to other suitable products. PaperPads are available in red or black with various absorption capacities and were created and optimized for cardboard trays and punnets."
"Another product we showcased at the fair was Fruitbond, which is hot-pierced and hot-bonded to make absorption quicker."
"This system guarantees the perfect drainage of the liquids released from fruit. Fruitbond pads are also available in red or black and with various absorption capacities. In addition, they absorb the liquid derived from condensation as well as that released directly from fruit."
A further advantage is the mechanical protection of the punnet, improving the conservation of fruit. "It is suitable for all fruit trays and applications."
