"These consist of fresh, smooth, homogeneously laser-etched chestnuts, ready to be baked in the oven. The innovative packaging - a practical plastic bag in which they are contained, equipped with a stay fresh zippers - and the uninterrupted cold chain allow a shelf-life of about 3 months. The weight loss, on the other hand, is about 2%, compared to the 10-20% of traditional fresh chestnuts."

The company M.G.M. processes its products in two plants of its own, located respectively in Italy and Portugal, where it collects and processes fresh and frozen chestnuts.
