This Wednesday, January 29, Lidl is inaugurating its most advanced, strategic and sustainable logistics platform to date in Spain. The infrastructure, which required an investment of 55 million Euro in equipment, will become part of the Circuito de Cheste Business Park.
With the launch of these facilities, Lidl is transferring the activity that had so far been carried out in the logistics center of Ribarroja del Turia to the new center, as the former had become “obsolete and small.”
With its 51,000 square meters (a third of which is reserved for cold rooms to manage fresh, frozen and dry produce), the warehouse has a capacity for more than 30,000 pallets and has 140 unloading docks, thereby optimizing the traffic of goods.
During the kick-off of the project, in April 2019, Lidl regional director Grischa Voss made it clear that this operation was a response to the company's growth and it should allow the retailer "to comply with its ambitious expansion plans for the coming years."
