Can an apple juice stand out among the countless offerings available on the market? The company Melchiori di Predaia (Trento) firmly believes it is possible, when it comes to their apple juice. "We have a new product made with apples and pears," explained Alberto Corazzola, who attended the Marca fair in Bologna, "which consists of a mix of 75% apple and 25% pear. It's obtaining great results also because ours is not only a juice, but a freshly pressed juice".
The company has a motto, that of avoiding the use of juice concentrate. It is made out of cold-pressed fresh product, without the addition of sugar and only with a mild pasteurization. It is obtained exclusively from high quality, whole apples, able to confer aromas and scents.

"La Spremuta di Mele di Lucia Maria - added Corazzola - is full-bodied precisely because it is not filtered. This allows to obtain a product rich in vitamins and mineral salts, and preserve the fibres and organoleptic properties of the apple, as well as the pleasant sensation of drinking a high quality product".
The juice industry accounts for 40% of the company's turnover. The remaining amount is represented by apple vinegar (35%) and cider (25%). Most of the cider is exported to northern European countries, particularly Great Britain.
"In order to offer a wider range of products - concluded the manager – we created different juice blends with ingredients such as ginger and bergamot that add that extra touch of originality and nutritional value, increasingly requested in the market. As regards the packaging, we use glass and we operate both in the large-scale retail trade and in specialized shops".
