At Marca in Bologna, "Vincenzo Caputo" showcased its new fully recyclable dried and mixed fruit packaging solutions. "This range is called 'I Comodi' (i.e. convenient) because it is easy to use and carry around but, most of all, because the packaging is 100% recyclable as paper waste. Even the transparent window is made up of a composite material that ca be recycled," explained marketing manager Pina Santucci and Annapaola Celentano from the sales department.
Over the past few years, the company has grown to reach the big retail chain in central and northern Italy. Among the many products available, the line of toasted nuts with no added salt leads the way. At Marca, the company established multiple relationships and the 'I Comodi' line sparked a lot of interest.

The Ora Frutta line was also rather popular. "It includes Italian organic fruits that are dried at a low temperature so that they can maintain the nutritional properties of fresh fruit as much as possible. Packets weigh 25 or 15 grams depending on the product, so they are single-portions. The fruit is not freeze-dried, it is simply dried so as to also maintain its organoleptic qualities unaltered."
The Ora Frutta types on display at the fair included pears, apples and persimmons. Dried persimmons seemed to be rather popular, maybe also because the line is preservative and sugar-free.
