Exporter Guide Mexico

Export of agricultural products to Mexico increased considerably

The export of agricultural products to Mexico is good for $ 18.6 billion (€ 16.6 billion) and has increased by 47% in the last 10 years. This makes Mexico one of the largest and most consistent markets for American growers in particular. A free trade agreement between the US and Mexico, in which all kinds of obligations are kept to a minimum, helps in this. Mexico in turn, exports $ 22 billion (€ 19.7 billion) to the US (including beer and tequila), according to the Exporter Guide Mexico from the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture).

Although Mexican retailers prefer local products, Mexico has imported fruits and vegetables from the US in 2018 ($ 616.1 million, € 550.90 million).

The Netherlands has exported $ 168,182,026 (€ 150,384,071) of agricultural products in 2018, accounting for 1.37% of the total.

The 10 largest retailers in Mexico are:

Bodega Aurrera (owned by Walmart)
Walmart
Soriana
Chedraui
Comercial Mexicana
Casa Ley
HEB
