"2019 was a good year for us"

"2019 was particularly good for Cooperativa Sole, we grew a lot: +16% in quantities and +22% in value. We are pleased with the result and hope we can go on like this," reports director Pietro Paolo Ciardiello. 

"The melon campaign went well with high-quality produce that received a good feedback." 

"The strawberry campaign also went well, with a 20% increase in quantities compared to 2018. The large volumes helped us make up for the low prices, which in 2018 were lower than during the previous season."

"The winter vegetable campaign was good as well."

"As for stone fruit, quantities increased despite the difficult year. Partners appreciated the work performed by the cooperative, as the fairer prices helped them."

"Soft fruit continues to grow as it is increasingly appreciated by the market. Partners are getting good at managing it and prices were not bad."

"Quantities of organic products have more than tripled, so much so that we produced 100 tons of strawberries, 600 tons of melons, 500 tons of vegetables and even some raspberries and blueberries. Considering the good performance, we will invest in organic cultivation destined to be exported more and more." 

"The future of Cooperativa Sole will be characterized by an increase in the production of soft fruit and organic produce. We will also focus on obtaining more certifications for our productions and processing system. What is more, as partners are still willing to invest on stone fruit, we will work on varietal innovation."
