This year, Jan van Felius and Erik Mooijman have a special December greeting for the people around them. For some time, Jan van Felius, owner of Feltracon BV, had been looking for a successor. He has now found one in the person of Erik Mooijman.
“Who could take on this role better than someone who is familiar with the market, familiar with the Feltracon company, and has been building Feltracon machines for the past fourteen years? After a period of consideration and consultation, Erik emerged as the best takeover candidate.”
Jan is transferring management tasks to Erik, but will continue to be involved full-time in the area of design. “I could not imagine a better candidate to take over. Erik has experience, an entrepreneurial spirit and he also knows how to connect people and businesses. In short, this is the best succession I could have hoped for, and we will enthusiastically walk the path into the future together. Of course I will stay connected with the company, but now I can finally focus on what I do best, which is design.”
The Mooijman family has chosen a new start and with that also a new company name. “Jan van Felius is and remains the designer of all the existing machines and of course our new machines in the future. This is why we chose the name Felcon. It is not an unfamiliar name for customers and suppliers. In this way, we want to convey the message that our machines and lines will continue to have the high quality they have always had under the names Felius and Feltracon,” says Erik Mooijman, who recently took leave of his role in the OEM company Lamotec BV. “Together with Jan, we will be putting more beautiful machines and new developments onto the market. With this great new step into future, Felcon machines will also continue to be produced at Lamotec. After having been affiliated with them for fourteen years, I know that in terms of quality we will continue to find the … at Lamotec.”
Jan van Felius would like to thank everyone who made a contribution to Feltracon over the years. “I am grateful to everyone around us who we have learned from, who learned from us, who showed patience during times of development and with whom we built good relationship for their confidence over the past years.”
Erik Mooijman adds: “I hope that in the future we can count on all the customers, suppliers and advisors to expand on what Jan and his team have worked so hard to build!”
