Asparagus from the farm, strawberries from next door - regional products are becoming increasingly popular with consumers. However, very few farmers have the opportunity or the staff to open and operate their own farm shop. It is this supply gap that the "RegioBox" from Hensing LLC tries to bridge. The company, based in Emsdetten, presents the "RegioBox" at this year's expoSE in Karlsruhe.

Extended service without personnel costs
"With the 'RegioBox', farmers can make their assortment available to customers, including strawberries and the king-size asparagus, 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, making extra profits," says Dirk Hensing, managing director of Hensing LLC. The state-of-the-art machines with integrated cooling system not only ensure short transport distances and optimal presentation of regionally produced food, but also represent an extended service that requires no further personnel costs.
Gentle product dispensing
In addition, the "RegioBox" offers innovative software: All information on sales statistics and inventory is easily accessible via telemetry. This means that the producer has a precise overview of the sold items at any time a, so he or she knows to restock the "RegioBox" if necessary. The easy navigation through the machine's assortment is optionally provided to customers by means of a large-format touch display, while the built-in lift system ensures gentle product dispensing.
The smart mechanism brings the desired product horizontally out of the compartment by means of a carriage and transports it to the output tray without it being tipped or damaged. Controlled dispensing eliminates the need for an extra protective lid for the product, saving packaging material. Last but not least, individually designable design options with personal branding can be applied to strengthen a proprietary brand.
