Tateishi and DMM are also going to anchor themselves economically in Sint-Truiden. He will work together with Nicolaï Fruit, a family-owned Truiden company with 40 years of experience in trading fruit and vegetables, entering into a partnership to export fruit to the Asian market. The fruit will be in the stores of 7-Eleven, an international retail chain with locations in 18 countries including Japan. It has been the largest retail chain in the world since March 2007: beating even McDonald’s with more than 30,000 stores worldwide.
