Chinese apple prices drop due to recovery of harvest yield

China’s marketing year (MY) 2019/20 production of apples is expected to rebound sharply from the previous year’s frost-damaged low levels to 41 million tonnes, an increase of 24%, which has caused fruit prices to fall quickly from their mid-2019 peaks.
