Modern and reliable machine equipment is essential today at every step of the value chain: from direct marketers to owner-managed wholesalers to large-scale industry. M.H. Verpackungs- und Anlagentechnik LLC has set itself the task of offering every sector of the fresh industry a corresponding machine solution. At the forthcoming Agritechnica, the company will present trade visitors with the latest technology.
Michael Hörnschemeyer is the proud founder and CEO of the company.
Complete and tailor-made system solutions for potatoes, carrots and onions have always been the hallmark of M.H. Packaging and Anlagentechnik, as Managing Director Michael Hörnschemeyer already explained in a previous interview with FreshPlaza. "Over the years, however, we have been able to significantly expand our expertise and are now also providing processes for a wide variety of vegetable products, such as beetroot and red pepper."

Larger demands on machines
Each individual line is specially developed and built according to the customer's wishes, emphasizes Hörnschemeyer. "The demand for machine equipment is undoubtedly growing, even for those who market directly from the farm. The direct marketer also wants to provide his customer with a product that can be sold at a higher value."

Nonetheless, according to Hörnschemeyer, this is a completely different market segment: "Nowadays you can almost always find washed potatoes in the food retail trade. Instead, direct marketers rely on unwashed potatoes, favoring the taste. However, these companies still need a cleaning system, such as a brush or blender, depending on the type of soil. We would like to show these customized solutions and our many years of expertise to visitors to the Agritechnica on site."
