Elizabeth Mace, Bioline Agrosciences:

“The organic, no-residue trend and the lack of solutions have increased the demand for our products”

“Now that consumers and distribution chains ask for more and more organic or ‘zero-residue’ products, the demand for our products has increased significantly,” reports Elizabeth Mace of Bioline Agrosciences. The company offers biocontrol products in many countries (Europe, America). “In a few years, we went from three factory sites to seven production sites.”

“The specifications evolve in the different countries because the final consumer wants healthy products without residues. Our biocontrol products meet this need completely,” explains Elizabeth. “We bring natural solutions to the producers, such as auxiliary insects.” The company offers more than 50 species of macro-organisms, predators and parasitoids. Regarding fruit and vegetable crops in France, Bioline is mostly active in strawberry, tomato and cucumber crops.

“Generally speaking, there are fewer and fewer chemical molecules on the market since the number of phytosanitary products has been reduced both at the national and international level. Additionally, some insects have developed resistance to certain chemical products. In those cases, the chemical molecules are no longer effective, so producers look for new solutions. With insects, there is no such resistance phenomenon.”

Bioline Agrosciences is present in more than 35 countries and over more than 40 different crops. “Globally, we are quite recognized in terms of innovation, for constantly bringing new solutions that are simple, easy and fast to implement in order to facilitate the work of the producers.”
