Upgrade to Oceania - U.S. shipping network to widen presence in Pacific area

MSC announced an upgrade of its Oceania to US network, effective immediately.

The network is divided in two loops:
Oceania loop 1 offers a new direct fortnightly call in Adelaide, Seattle, Vancouver extending the current coverage from Australia and New Zealand to US West Coast and Canada. The service will also call in Papeete, Tahiti on fortnightly basis, widening their presence in the Pacific area.

Rotation Australia, NZ to USWC and Canada: Sydney – Melbourne – Adelaide – Tauranga – Oakland – Seattle – Vancouver – Long Beach

Rotation Australia, NZ, Tahiti to USWC: Sydney – Melbourne – Tauranga –Papeete – Oakland – Long Beach

Oceania loop 2 provides weekly direct service to Cristobal and US East Coast, as well as competitive transit times from Adelaide to USA, via New Zealand.

Port Rotation: Sydney – Melbourne – Port Chalmers – Napier – Auckland – Tauranga – Cristobal – Philadelphia – Charleston – Balboa – Tauranga

Both loops enable MSC to also offer significant intermodal possibilities to Canada and US inland destinations via key ports such as Philadelphia, Charleston, Vancouver and Seattle.
