"Our farms are located in Liaoning. The natural environment is quite suitable. The farms in this location are not easily affected by typhoons. The weather mainly affects the growth of sweet potatoes through the volume of rainfall. The harvest period has not yet begun and the production volume is still difficult to predict with any kind of certainty. There are sweet potatoes on the market, but they come from other production areas. However, these sweet potatoes offer no threat to our market share. The main reasons for this situation are as follows: first, sweet potato supply periods are different in various production areas as are the characteristics of sweet potatoes in different production areas. Second, our new sweet potato variety is superior in terms of flavor and appearance."
"The Chinese production volume of sweet potatoes has continuously expanded in recent years, but the price did not drop. The price of sweet potatoes showed an increase instead. This unexpected development is the result of growing local demand. Another factor that strengthens the price of sweet potatoes is the behavior of farmers. They do not sell all their sweet potatoes immediately after the harvest, but store them instead until the price is much higher in spring of the following year."
