Prins Verpakkingstechniek from the Netherlands celebrates 40th anniversary

Prins Verpakkingstechniek from Veenendaal, the Netherlands, recently celebrated their 40th anniversary. The company that once started in a shed behind founder Prins’s home has now grown into a well-known company with customers from all over the world.

Jan Strijbos, sales manager for Prins Verpakkingstechniek, reminisces about the anniversary party. “It was a lot of fun. All branches were represented, and we got a lot of positive feedback afterwards. About 120 people showed up, fewer people than we expected. A lot of customers are from Belgium, so the distance was a bit too large for them,” Jan says.

“A painting was placed just in the entrance, and visitors could paint on it for a small donation. The painting will be presented to Mr Prins, and the proceeds of the donations will be donated to Kika.”

Forty years ago, Mr Prins founded the company in a small shed behind his home. Since then, they’ve developed into a company with customers all over the world. Jan: “I’ve now worked here for about 16 years, and in recent years we didn’t grow in the number of employees we have, but we did grow regarding turnover. We’re globally represented from the Netherlands, from Canada to New Zealand. Besides, we also have a factory in Germany, where our subsidiary builds our Inno-Tech machines.”

Besides reminiscing, Prins Verpakkingstechniek also looks forward. “We’re naturally working on all kinds of plans for the future: we might continue expanding our range, work with a new ERP system and make the company better-structured. We’re actually busy in all kinds of fields, but I can’t really talk about that yet. In any case, we have plenty of plans for the coming years!”
