“The current grape season in Yunnan has come to an end. Looking back at the entire season, the overall quality was better than last year, and varieties include red, black, Sapphire, Sunny Roses and white seedless were available. Among them, Sunshine Roses and Sapphire, a new variety, were very popular,” according to Helen from the Guangdong HolyFresh Fruits Co., Ltd. 
“At the beginning of the season in Yunnan, prices were high and the export market was active. Prices gradually reduced to normal level later on and export volumes somewhat declined. This was partly due to weather conditions, especially in Yunnan. Frequent rainy weather last month affected this area, leading to a decline in the volume of high-quality fruit suitable for export. The season in Xinjiang is about to kick off. The overall production of this area stays the same as last year, and the price at the start of the season is expected to be similar to that of the same period last year. Out of a myriad of varieties, red, Flame, white seedless, and Crimson are the ones with the greatest production.” 
“In addition to marketing grapes in China, we also export them overseas. Markets like Indonesia, Bangladesh, and Thailand take up large volumes. The exports of the red variety are as large as before and Sun Rose and Sapphire are also doing well. Market feedback shows that these two varieties are very popular in overseas markets. In recent years, we are facing increasingly fierce competition in markets both at home and overseas.
In China, more and more companies are engaged in the grape export business, while in the international markets, many uncontrollable factors influence trading, for example, there are many holidays in Bangladesh, which affects our shipments." 
“This year, we will participate in the Asia Fruit Logistica taking place in Hong Kong with our new grape varieties and packaging. In addition to showcasing our products, we also hope to meet partners and explore business opportunities there, in order to follow our plan of importing high-quality fruit from overseas markets.
