Harvesting cabbages with a Vanhoucke cabbage harvester

In this clip, you can see the cabbage harvester at work. This patented system was designed by the Belgian company, Vanhoucke Machine Engineering. Two 'torpedo's' at the front of the harvester lift the cabbages.

Clips hold the vegetables in place. A stainless steel knife cuts the cabbages' roots off. Two men sit on the back of the machine. They ensure all is good before the cabbages go to the fresh market or to be processed.
