The Chilean Fruit Export Association announced that Chilean kiwifruit brand Sweeki has established a foothold in the Asian market. The first shipping containers full of Sweeki kiwifruit have already arrived in China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Taiwan.
A Sweeki brand representative stated: "This year's production volume of Chilean kiwifruit was more than abundant. We expect the overall production volume to be almost twice the size of last year." The large production volume allowed Sweeki to expand from the Southern American and European markets into the Asian market. And this in turn allows Asian consumers to enjoy delicious kiwifruit from the other side of the world.
