Last week the Asia Fresh Expo took place in Shanghai and many people visited the exhibition. On the first day several activities were presented, including lectures on banana cultivation, preservation and post-harvest ripening. Mr. Hu Xian from AiRipening gave a lecture about a case study on banana after-ripening processes.

Besides the exhibition, it was also possible for suppliers to meet each other at the match-making event called the 8th Fruit Reverse Purchasing Meeting. This event was held during the first day of the exhibition. It was located at the entrance of the exhibition, so interested visitors could easily find it. This part of the exhibition is always very well visited, because it gives the companies a unique opportunity to directly talk with new suppliers or buyers. New connections were made, which would otherwise not have been possible.

Overall the exhibition was very well attended, especially on the first day, which was the busiest, which makes sense since most activities were held on the first day.
