The MC2-FC regulator is VDH's third generation fruit regulator. It has the latest technological and innovative features. Included here is a touchscreen for a comprehensive readout. There are also fast, efficient, accurate processors and ethernet. This ethernet is used for fast, stable communication.
The expertise and knowledge of various parties were included in the development of the MC2-FC regulator. These were specialists, installers, and end users. This is done with all VDH regulators. It is important to note that the MC2-FC regulator's parameters and settings are freely accessible. This accessibility means the end user does not have to rely on the machine's suppliers or installers to adjust these.
It was decided to house the MC2-FC controller in a casing of identical form and size as the FC 785-PC regulator. This was deliberate. The FC 785-PC regulator can now easily be replaced with the MC2-FC version.
The new controller is unique in its communication between the FC 785-PC regulators and the MC3-Fruit system. This communication means the MC2-FC regulator can be included in the FC 785-PC regulators or MC3-Fruit systems' network and subnetwork.
Besides controlling cooling, the fan, defrosting, and any humidifiers are also regulated by the MC2-FC. Defrosting can be done naturally, electrically, or with heated gas. There are various separate counters. These are used for cooling actions or pulses, cooling times, and to measure how many liters of water are present.
Phases and cooling
The MC2-FC regulator has three phases during cooling. During the cooling stage, cooling is done according to specifications. Cooling begins as soon as the cell temperature rises too high. In the storage stage, cooling is carried out of a relay basis. This means the regulators in one network start cooling one after another. They do not work all at once.
Thanks to this, a small compressor capacity can be used during the storage phase. In the standby phase, the cell is only cooled when heated gas needs to be supplied to another cell. This other cell will be defrosting using heated gas.
Inputs and outputs
The MC2-FC regulator has five temperature sensor inputs. These can also be used for digital inputs. It also has five relays. If more inputs or relays are required, the MC2-FC can be expanded. This expansion is done using an optional extension module. With this, 16 temperature sensor inputs and twelve relays can be added to the MC2-FC controller.
The device is controlled remotely using VASP. VASP give access to various functions. These include advanced controlling functions like registration and alarm settings.
