The Spanish company Grupo Agroponiente, together with Jimbo Fresh, is launching Kisy, a new miniwatermelon that offers an individual ration of between 650 and 950 grams, easy to peel and to consume anywhere.
Kisy has an excellent, fresh and sweet flavor, with 10-11 Brix degrees. Its size is aimed to meet new consumer trends and the demands of the customers, since it is a healthy snack that is also portable and easy to eat.
This watermelon is grown in Spain under strict quality protocols as far as production and packaging are concerned, with climatic and phytosanitary controls and the monitoring of the harvesting, cultivation and pruning systems. Kisy is marketed between April and August and its main destinations are going to be the United Kingdom, France, Germany, the Netherlands and the United Arab Emirates.
The general director of operations of Grupo Agroponiente, Antonio Román, has said that, "as always, our company continues to listen to the demands from the markets and to work in responding accordingly. Kisy is the result of all this; a product with which our producers will offer just what the markets are asking for: easy handling and maximum flavor. We are convinced that success is guaranteed."
