Price of imported fruit dropped by 10%

China: Designated fruit terminal in Hunan accepts first fruit imports

The Changsha Office for Distribution and Trade Ports revealed that the construction of a designated fruit terminal at Huanghua International Airport is now complete. The Changsha Customs Office cleared the terminal for operation. This is the first designated fruit import terminal in Hunan, which means that Hunan markets no longer have to import fruit via other ports. More fruit can be directly imported from abroad.

Most import fruit in Hunan came via Shanghai, Guangxi, and Zhengzhou. The long-distance transport to Hunan increased the retail price. With the opening of a designated fruit terminal at Huanghua International Airport the price of import fruit dropped by 10%.
