Still, the supply does not exceed demand and many watermelon farmers and traders have made a nice profit.
Data from 5-zn.cn shows that the price of watermelons in production areas stabilized around 2 yuan [0.30 USD] and higher in the last week of April. The price slightly dropped and then stabilized again in the first week of May. Most watermelons cost less than 2 yuan [0.30 USD]. The overall supply volume and the product variety will both increase as the temperature rises.
