New solutions for citrus

One of the most urgent challenges for the world citrus sector at the productive level is dealing with the main pests and diseases that are somehow present in all production areas. Studying their behavior, combating them, and eradicating them is therefore a key objective for the Research Centers such as IFAPA, which is organizing a Technical Day on the 10th at the facilities of IFAPA Campanillas (Malaga) to address these issues, and where Daymsa will present their most innovative solutions for this sector.

The event, which will begin at 9 AM at the IFAPA Campanillas facilities, will be inaugurated by the President of the Andalusian Institute of Agricultural, Fisheries and Food Research and Training, followed by Dr. Francisco Jose Arenas Arenas, researcher at IFAPA Torres-Tomejil (Alcala del Rio, Sevilla), who will talk about the current situation of citrus growing.

During the first part of the day, there will be a presentation of the Experimentation in citrus fruits project "Development of strategies for the management of HLB and its psyllid vectors in citrus fruits", as well as an analysis of the Trioza erytreae pest, how to recognize it and manage it.

Later, there will be a presentation about the chemical control of T. erytreae and the use of adjuvants to improve the control of Diaspinos. The most outstanding presentation will be Daymsa's presentation of its specific solutions for the citrus sector.

For more than 40 years, DAYMSA has been providing solutions to producers through bio-stimulants, soil improvers, biocontrol products and deficiency correctors, with a complete range for the citrus sector.
