Spanish fruits will be promoted in India in April

The Spanish fruit and vegetable sector needs to open new markets in order to avoid market collapses like the ones the kaki, stone fruit or, lately, the citrus sector have endured. Spain must know and learn what its future markets are and how it can be profitable in them. This is why the Eurofreshproduce initiative has organized a special technical-commercial mission for fruit producers in Spain from April 20 to the 26, 2019, with visits in New Delhi, Calcutta, and Mumbai and a participation in the Fresh Produce India Congress.

"The Government of India has opened many new ways to export stone fruit, kaki, orange, apple, pear and grape. Now we need importers and distributors in this country to know our fruit," said Oliver Huesmann, the head of this mission.

Together with the Spanish Kaki Association and in cooperation with the Spanish Trade Office in New Delhi, Eurofreshproduce will take producers to India, where they will inform them about this rapidly emerging market and its special characteristics.

Producers can register for the Spanish Fruits trip to India until March 15, where they will meet importers, politicians and technicians from the sector (logistics, shipping, Post-harvest, etc.) to clarify their doubts and start exporting.

The program of the mission can be seen on the website  https://www.eurofreshproduce.eu/events/mission-comercial-tecnico-frutas-espanolas-a-india.
