The company agroplanta GmbH & Co. KG has approved the results of their cropping system in potato cultivation, starting with the tuber treatment CUSTOSEM® K. Numerous attempts in recent years have convinced experts in both Germany and the Netherlands. "The use of the system leads to additional yields for seed potatoes in the desired sorting range of 2.5 - 3 tons and for consumer goods at 4.5 - 6 tons per ha, depending on the type of food or processing," reports Friedrich Boecker, Head of Germany West and Benelux agro planta.

CUSTOSEM® K is a system for the treatment of potato tubers consisting of Nutri-Phite® Magnum S and Kantor®. Nutri-Phite® Magnum S is a biostimulator and Kantor® is an all-in-one additive. The system was developed in Dethlingen by dr. Peters, in Sanitz at Agro Nord Wolf Dieter Kürzinger, in Colijnsplaat on Ruesthove and at the CZAV in Wemeldinge, the Netherlands, and the system was thoroughly convincing. 
The system works in 3 steps: In the first step, the tubers are treated on the roller belt to promote rooting and early growth. As a second step, a foliar treatment is used at the time of the onset of the tubers for a better and more homogeneous tuber approach, which is repeated in the third step about 10-14 days later.
Multiple benefits during cultivation
The Kantor additive ensures perfect wetting and adhesion to the tubers and foliar treatments, while the multifunctional foliar fertilizer Nutri-Phite® Magnum S acts as a biostimulator. Significantly better root growth can be seen after treatment. "Nutri-Phite® Magnum S increases the energy level in the plant for about 10-14 days, and higher cell division rates lead to a consistently good rooting with appropriate rooting," explains Boecker.
The problem-free mixing of the products enables their joint use with crop protection and fertilizers at different times of use. "In all the years when we used these applications, no negative results were determined with this system. For the farmer, there is no additional work to be done because the products of the agroplanta system potato can be mixed with all PSM without problems," says Boecker about the collective advantages of the systems.
