TOP Onions reports defaulter: ETS Samaha CSD in Mauritania

TOP Onions warns fellow fresh produce trading companies against doing business with a Mauritanian company:

"This message has the purpose of warning you against Mr Mohammeden from the company ETS Samaha CSD in Mauritania."

"We worked with this customer on condition 'cash against documents'.
We already shipped him several loads. During the last delivery the containers remained at the port. The customer claimed that he had no money to take the containers out."

"Mr Mohammeden told us that he would pay the goods within one week after arrival. We believed him unfortunately and we released the containers. After the containers have been released, it has been very difficult to get in touch with Mr Mohammeden."

"Finally, we got him on the phone and he promised us to pay quickly but the money was not transferred. Many times after Mr Mohammeden promised to pay, but the money never arrived."

"We feel very bad, we trusted him, we had nice conversations during the exhibition of 2018, we are begging for money and he keeps on promising and playing with us."

"Be careful with this customer!"
