Weekly service Hamburg - Zhengzhou is planned

Eurosib sends first transit container train through Grodekovo border crossing

CJSC Eurosib SPb - Transport Systems and the Zhengzhou International Hub (ZIH) brought their first transit container train through the Grodekovo border crossing (Far Eastern Railway, RZD).

The container train's route goes from Hamburg (Germany) to Zhengzhou (China). The first train with 43 40-foot containers was dispatched on 28 December. On January 12, the train reached the Grodekovo border crossing (RF) - Suifenhe (China). In a few days, it will reach its destination. At the same time, a container train is being formed that will travel in the opposite direction.

The planning is that the Hamburg - Zhengzhou service will be operated weekly.

Eurosib has been developing competences regarding the organization of transit since 2015. The first route (China - Europe - China) will pass through the border crossings of Mongolia. The operator has dispatched some 370 container trains in total over the last 2.5 years.
