Chiquita Brands International has announced its new global partnership with the animated movie The Lego® Movie 2: The Second Part and the introduction of Banarnar—a Lego brick-built banana character making his big screen debut.
Starting mid-January and for a four-week period through the film’s February 8th North American release, more than 300 million blue Chiquita stickers in the US and several European countries will feature characters from the movie, including Banarnar, along with a code that will allow fans to play online games and win themed prizes, the company said. Chiquita's aim is to focus on key brand principles which they share are around fun, collaboration and family values.
Starting January 17, 2019 through February 24, the company said fans can enter the ‘Chiquita Build For A Chance to Win’ promotion once a day by collecting the stickers in-store and submitting the unique codes at www.chiquita.com/build for a chance to win prizes like tickets to see The Lego Movie 2 in theaters, Lego brick sets and e-gift cards. Fans can also find codes on the Chiquita Facebook page, which will be posted daily, throughout the promotion.
