Golden Triangle port reopened on January 10th, 2019

Than Myint, the Minister of Commerce for Myanmar, stated: "After mutual consultation between China and Myanmar the Golden Triangle port, which was previously closed for security reasons, has been reopened on January 10th, 2019. China and Myanmar cooperate in this decision for mutual trade profit and the convenience of the people."

Empty trucks are allowed to return from China to Myanmar via the Golden Triangle port, but full trucks coming into China will be delayed as the Chinese customs office is still preparing to resume regular operations.
