Naturalia, Idai Nature's new experimental farm

"We want to be a meeting place for sustainable agriculture"

"We want Naturalia, Idai Nature's new farm, to be a meeting place for sustainable agriculture that is accessible for farmers and society in general," stated Carlos Ledo, the General Director of Idai Nature.

The goal of this initiative, for which there are few precedents in the sector, is to combine research and innovation with the promotion of a healthier and more sustainable life.

Naturalia has an ambitious agronomic program that will allow Idai Nature to increase the number of experimental trials, make new ones, and anticipate farmer's needs through continuous innovation.

The experimental area is divided into 6 working sectors where researchers have already begun to experiment with citrus varieties and highly valued fruits. Soon, researchers will also start cultivating species that are typical of this season, such as lettuce, carrots, chard, broccoli, etc.

The farm also has a series of buildings with multiple uses that are expected will play an outstanding role in sharing environmental values, the importance of teamwork, and the spirit of effort with society as a whole.

"City children rarely have an opportunity to see where the food we eat comes from," Ledo stated. As a result of this and their search for a healthier and more natural lifestyle, Idai Nature has integrated school visits from the Valencian Community to see the wide range of activities on the farm.

The farm's offer also includes training seminars, workshops, and open air meeting areas, making it a unique place where people can enjoy agriculture.
