An increasing number of sales festivities are making their way to the Netherlands. Much is being expected of Black Friday, happening tomorrow. This sale day has its origins in America. Consumers are expecting great deals. The Dutch company, Ton Kanters Gezond Genieten, has come up with a nice idea: vegetarian pizzas at half-price.
"Black Friday is something that is getting a lot bigger. We are participating, along with the whole center. It is, of course, already busy with Sinterklaas and Christmas around the corner. This is why we thought of a big marketing campaign. It brings even more attention to these tasty pizzas", says Ton Kanters.
This pizza has been part of their assortment for some time now and is selling very well. However, hopefully, this campaign will give sales an extra boost. "These pizzas usually sell for EUR8 each. Tomorrow they will go for EUR4. We already quietly started this instore today. On Friday and Saterday, it is full steam ahead. If I sell 200 of them, I will be happy."
The pizza bases are made by another company in town, pizza-e-pane. This is an artisanal bakery in the Dutch town of Schijndel. "All natural, no preservatives, and a clear label. The pizzas are also heaped with meat-free topping. Of course, with a lot of fresh vegetables and yummy mozzarella."
