Tunisia: Citrus production up 35% in Cap Bon

Citrus fruit production in the Cap Bon region of Tunisia will reach 330 thousand tons this year. Compare this to the 255 thousand tons a year earlier; it is a rise of 35 percent, said president of the local union of agriculture in Beni Khaled, Bechir Oun Allah.

According to africanmanager.com, he also called for traders to seek new export markets, given the record rise in production. The region of Cap Bon provides 80% of the domestic citrus fruit production.
