Jingdong Fresh Produce sells well on 'Single's Day'

Jingdong Fresh Produce has increased its sales in self-operating businesses 10 times on 11/11 (Single's Day). On November 11 itself, the sales increased by 16 times compared to the normal situation. Some of the most popular items are pomelos, meat, scallops and dumplings. In total, some 12 products make up 40% of the whole sales volume of the self-operating businesses.

11/11 is 'Singles Day' in China. It is an initiative started by Alibaba, during which discounts are given for purchases made online. This has now grown into the world's largest online shopping day with billions of Yuan spent.

The Guoranxian flagship store, the Xiangfang Foods franchise, the Xingqiguo falgship store, the Shendan Guanfang flagship store and the Jingdong Foods Map Qingyang Fresh Produce store are the 5 shops that sold the most. This year, many fresh produce articles were sold much more. Pomelos were sold 9 times more than on a regular day, ice cream and apples were sold 6 times more. Of the products sold this year, an increase was also found in high-end imported fresh produce articles.

The sales volume for self-operating import articles increased by factor 7 compared. During this year's 11/11 action, the sales volumes for self-operating fruit also increased a lot. Meilunda honey pomelos are very popular in 7 big Chinese regions: North, North China, East China, South China, Central China, Northwest, Southwest. This tendency is inextricably linked with Jingdong's unrelenting effort to construct and expand cold chain logistics
