Website with Dutch agrifood innovations

Yesterday www.dutchfoodinnovations.com went live. At the Food Valley Expo Aalt Dijkhuizen, figurehead of the Topsector Agri & Food and Bert Roetert, chairman of Food Valley NL launched this website, which offers an overview of innovative technologies, products and ingredients in the areas of food, food technology and agri- and horticulture. Dutchfoodinnovations.com is a Food Valley NL initiative.

The Netherlands has a lot of knowledge and technology in the area of agrifood and can contribute to solutions for world food questions globally. The new website gives R&D managers, policy makers and consultants a quick and simply insight into what innovative agrifood solutions are available in the Netherlands. Dutchfoodinnovations.com is a practical instrument to share knowledge and make links.

There are countless innovative ingredients for application in foods to be found in the database, as well as technologies that enable a cleaner and more sustainable way of producing. There are also solutions to raise the production of food crops or to reduce the waste. Dutchfoodinnovations.com is quite accessible through the internet and mobile phones. The website is a handy tool for everyone who is interested in innovations in agrifood and brings people together to work on new solutions. Dutch Food Innovations is also one of a kind worldwide.

Over the next while Food Valley NL will be working on filling up the database more. Companies in agrifood and the horticultural sector are invited to report their innovations through www.dutchfoodinnovations.com. This is free of charge until the 1st of January 2015.
