Romania wants to modernise fruit cultivation

Romania wants to continue to extend and modernise its fruit cultivation regions until 2020, reports Gabot.de. In total 198 million Euro will be invested in the modernisation of the fruit cultivation areas. The main goal is the extension of the cultivation area from its current 140,000 hectares to 200,000 hectares in 2020. Due to a lack of investment and maintenance the area has shrunk by 65,000 hectares in the last five years.
