AU: Local summerfruit for local families

Five local Sydney family orchards have come together to market their summerfruit under one brand, Bombowlee Local Sydney Summerfruit. Bombowlee Local Sydney growers have been known for their premium, early season, locally grown Peaches and Nectarines since the 1930s. Through the Bombowlee groups exclusive marketer N&A Fruit Distributors, they have been supplying Woolworths limited for over 50 years.

Woolworths Supermarkets is committed to supporting local producers. Locally grown fruit can now be purchased in selected Woolworths stores by local families within only hours of being hand picked in the orchard.

The fresh picked and locally grown peaches and nectarines will be available from early November through to December.

Colin Nicolson, general manager of Nicholson Fruits and part of Bombowlee Local Sydney Summerfruit, said that Woolworths stocking his fruit to supply local stores continues to strengthen their long standing relationship.
