Lidl Switzerland build new DC's

Discounter Lidl continues to grow in Switzerland. They already supply to more than 90 branches, which is why the company is going to invest 100 million Swiss Francs (81,2 million Euro) for logistics.

The investment is divided over two establishments. At the moment, about 20 million Swiss Franc will be invested in the existing distribution centre in Weinfelden. At the same time, they are very busy preparing the location for the second distribution centre. Building of this distribution centre in Sévaz, will start during the coming weeks, as announced by Lidl in a press release.

The distribution centre in Sévaz will cover 37,000 m2 and as expected, will be ready in the spring of 2015. Thanks to this new distribution centre 400-500 new jobs will be created in the not too distance future.
