France: Bonduelle again interested in deep-freeze vegetables

In 2011 Bonduelle started with steamed vegetables. Now the French company has increased the deep-freeze supply with a mixture of vegetables: beans-carrots-peas; courgettes-French beans-peppers; cauliflower-broccoli-carrots. "The idea to market mixtures is because consumers cannot put these together themselves," Emmanuelle Cousy explains. "It is a big success. The product is available everywhere."

Clarity in the offer
Bonduelle want to make the products as accessible as possible. A new line is: "The vegetables from the market". Rustic recipes, rural recipes and from the garden, put together with raw vegetables with a small bag of herbs, which can be added by the consumer according to taste. The differences are explained by colour codes: red for rustic products, violet for southern products and green for products from the market. Bonduelle also have developed the recipe "Parisienne" (mushroom-potato).

This is an exclusive French product, but a few vegetables are still grown abroad, such as broccoli. "New concepts will be introduced in 2014 again" Emmanuelle Cousy says.
