Last year, Madrid's Fruit Attraction offered Euroberry, a worldwide blueberry producer and trader, a chance to present its premium brand Berry Touch. This year will be no different for the company, which in addition to doubling the size of its stand compared to previous editions, will launch another new brand, RocioBerry.
"We will officially present it at Fruit Attraction 2013. It is a new design with Euroberry's colours and a selection of its best varieties, with high bloom levels, +16mm calibres, maximum firmness and unforgettable flavours," inform Euroberry's sources.
The 2013 Spanish blueberry campaign has been satisfactory for Euroberry compared to 2012's. Even though the weather conditions have not been ideal, there have not been as many frosts as in 2012, when much of the early fruit was lost, whose commercial value is always higher due to the lack of fruit in the market.
They now have blueberries grown in the Southern Hemisphere in Argentina and Chile.
Markets for Spanish blueberries
Euroberry's largest blueberry markets are England, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands, and the company says that the most growth has been experienced in Germany, Scandinavia and Eastern Europe, as well as in the Middle and the Far East.
