The total German potato harvest is one of the lowest in history, at 9 to 9.5 million tonnes. In Lower Saxony the 'Kartoffelland' of Germany, the harvest was 10.9% lower than last year (0.5 million tonnes less). The harvest of table potatoes is 1.34 million tonnes (-6.5%) and that of processing potatoes is 2.92 million tonnes (-12.9%).
