Japanese "multi-colored strawberries" are about to be introduced to China by Wanhe Qicai Agricultural Technology. The company is pioneering domestic breeding of the rare strawberry variety in China. The multi-colored strawberries are the main product among early winter strawberries. They originally come from Japan and have a cultivation history of more than 20 years. The first generation of seedlings from Wanhe Qicai was bred in great numbers by Mr. Qing Shan Hong Da from Japan.

Wanhe Qicai plans to breed seven varieties in different colors. At present they have already successfully developed the pink "Princess Peach", the fiery red "Kiss", and the "White Sweetheart" that feels and looks like a snow-white angel. Next year, the company plans to present a black strawberry and a yellow strawberry. In 2019 they will continue with a green strawberry and a blue strawberry.

The company invited the famous Japanese expert Mr. Qing Shan Hong Da to guide the development of technology. The earlier strawberries are harvested, the easier they are to preserve. Multi-colored strawberries go through conventional and high-quality packaging procedures. This prevents bruising of fruit during transport. Wanhe Qicai also implements organic preparation methods from Japan to protect the strawberries against plant diseases and insect pests. They do not use pesticides, and stopped the use of insecticides, so there is absolutely no residue from either. This ensures that the strawberries are environmentally friendly and suitable for consumption.

The 2018 Wanhe Qicai news conference for new strawberry products, at the first session of the Sino-Japanese many-colored strawberry development forum in Shanghai, China, will be held on Friday January 12th, 2018. And an inspection by the Sino-Japanese strawberry technology standard at the growing area will take place in Weihai, China, on Saturday January 13th, 2018.
