Pregnant woman criticised about extreme diet of 20 bananas a day

People will do the strangest things to feel good. Like the six month pregnant blogger Loni Jane Anthony. Since the 25 year old Australian openly praised an extreme diet in which she eats up to 20 bananas a day, she has been heavily criticised on the internet, Yahoo.com writes.

Anthony is actually a designer and photographer, but the content of her Instagram and Tumblr pages seem like the diet advice page for a professional model. The pages mainly contain self shots of her super slim body, alternated by photos of her meals, mostly consisting of only one type of fruit of lettuce. The Australian also answers questions about her special diet according to the 80-10-10 principle (80% carbohydrates, 10% protein and 10% fat), and gives away her personal superfruit - the banana: "Some days I eat 15, other days I eat 20," says Anthony on Tumblr. All this just to feel healthy.

But her positive view is not shared by everyone. On the contrary: many judge her not only for her relatively one sided diet, but mainly for the fact that despite being six months pregnant, Anthony is sticking to her extreme diet. Users on her Instagram page call her "irresponsible" and "narcissistic", among other things - and those are the kinder comments. Ami Angelowics summarises it on her blog 'The Frisky' like this: "I'm no doctor, but my common sense is telling me that you should be eating more than bananas and mangos when you're eating for two."
