Russia: Dagestan's Rosselkhoznadzor has monitored almost 107,000 seedlings since early 2024

Since the beginning of 2024, the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration in the Republic of Dagestan has overseen the control of 7 batches of grape and apple seedlings, totalling 106,900 units, intended for sale and planting within the region.

At the storage facilities, officials conducted a sampling of the products and scrutinized accompanying documents to confirm the varietal and planting qualities.

Following these supervisory measures, no violations of legislation regarding seed production and plant quarantine have been identified.

The administration reminds that, by the new Federal Law on Seed Production, it is prohibited to use seeds contaminated or adulterated with quarantine objects, or containing genetically modified organisms, except for sowing such seeds for expert examination and scientific research.
