Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan Exports: Rosselkhoznadzor's findings on Kuzbass quarantined product imports

Upon importation into the territory of the Russian Federation, the Kemerovo Region – Kuzbass, officials of the Rosselkhoznadzor Directorate have monitored 11,453 tons of quarantined products over the first 10 months of 2023. The import of quarantined products in 2023 has decreased by 19% compared to the same period in 2022.

Most quarantined products were imported from the Republic of Kazakhstan, totalling 9,148 tons. The main assortment includes onions - 2,050 tons, watermelons - 1,725 tons, tomatoes - 1,209 tons, melons - 914 tons, apples - 742 tons, carrots - 657 tons, cucumbers - 581 tons and cabbage - 456 tons.

From Kyrgyzstan, 1,316 tons of quarantined products were exported to Kuzbass. This mainly consists of onions - 508 tons, cabbage - 278 tons, carrots - 156 tons, peppers - 115 tons, potatoes - 40 tons, apricots - 23 tons, watermelons - 21 tons, fresh berries - 23 tons, and dried nuts - 75 tons.
