BE CLIMATE supports Veganuary 2021

New year, new opportunities: By supporting Veganuary, BE CLIMATE will send out another signal for climate protection and draw the public’s attention to the advantages of a vegan lifestyle. Well-known companies such as Aldi, Lidl, Dr. Oetker, Frosta and Rossmann also
participate in Veganuary and, at the beginning of the new year, initiate all kinds of vegan-related activities for their customers. Paul McCartney, Ralf Moeller, and Hannes Jaenicke are
just some of the celebrities who support this movement, too.

Veganuary is an international organisation that was founded in Great Britain in 2014. Its aim is to encourage people all around the world to try out a purely plant-based diet.

Last year more than 400,000 people worldwide registered with the campaign, in 2021 there will be more than 500,000 participants. The positive influence of a plant-based nutrition on climate, nature and human health is enormous. According to Veganuary, more than 41,200 tons of CO2 could be saved if 350,000 people were to nourish on vegan food and replaced all animal products such as meat and dairy products for one month. This amount equals more than
450,000 flights from Berlin to London.

“Our products are vegan by nature and form an essential part of a plant-based diet. To replace just one meal here or there with a plant-based alternative can make a real difference and has a positive influence on the health of each of us individually and on the environment in general. We are very happy that we have been able to motivate nearly half of our staff in the Hamburg office to participate in the Workplace Challenge,” says Mike Port, Managing Director of Port International GmbH.

BE CLIMATE accompanies the challenge with its own blog and brand profile on Instagram.
