Cape Town farmers go to court over city's land rezoning plans

After years of campaigning, the Philippi Horticultural Area (PHA) Food and Farming Campaign will finally go up against the city, the Western Cape province and a number of developers, in court.

It will fight for the protection and preservation of the most productive horticulture area by hectare in South Africa. The Philippi Horticultural Area Food and Farming Campaign and its convenor Nazeer Sonday are contesting "administrative decisions" that allowed the rezoning of a portion of the PHA for mixed-use development.
