Aldi invests heavily in organic and fair trade

More sustainable certified products on the shelves and stores with the highest possible energy label. Discounter Aldi embraced sustainability in 2016. This is shown in the Aldi Nord 2016 Progress Report, in which it informs its shareholders of developments in sustainability. With this report the discounter informs its stakeholders of the main steps in the area of sustainability. Organic and fair trade are on the rise.

Where Aldi still had 33 organic own brand products in the Netherlands in 2014, it doubled the year after. In 2016 the counter was at 114 products.
