using new generation denesting machines

Dörr follows new trend: packaging potatoes in cardboard trays

It is becoming more and more popular to package potatoes in cardboard trays. The trays come in the consumer measured quantities of one, one and a half and two kilos. Dörr Kampen is following this trend closely with their denesting machine. The new generation of Dörr denesting machines feature a specially designed vacuum gripper for stacking the trays. When this system was being designed the makers not only took into account the ability of the machine to process various sizes, but also to give the machine quick changeover times. Dörr believes that changeovers should be possible without the intervention of technical services, tools or production personnel; and this is possible. Within the bakery and tomato product groups, the choice for cardboard packaging was already made, due in part to the 'traditional' look of the packaging. Now the trend is gaining popularity in the potato sector.
